CVHHH Board Member Honored by American Cancer Society

We are very excited to share the news that Theresa Lever, who is a member of our Board of Directors and Patient Navigator at the Cancer Center at Central Vermont Medical Center, was awarded the Lane W. Adams Quality of Life Award by the American Cancer Society. This prestigious award is given to individuals who “consistently exhibit excellence and compassion in providing care to cancer patients, going beyond their duties to make a difference in the life of cancer patients and their families.” Theresa has worked at CVMC for over 30 years providing social service support to residents of the hospital’s nursing facilities and, since 2009, as a patient navigator in the National Life Cancer Treatment Center.

In honor of her award, Theresa was featured in ABC 22’s Local Heroes broadcast. To view this video, click the image to the left.
