Thank You CVHHH by Emergency Responders

On Friday, October 30, fire, police, and emergency responders from Central Vermont drove and honked their way down Granger Road in Berlin (past CVHHH’s headquarters at 600 Granger Road) to show their appreciation of CVHHH’s staff’s efforts fighting COVID-19. Representatives from Montpelier  Police and Fire departments, Barre City Police and Fire departments, East Montpelier Volunteer Fire Department, and Berlin Police Department, and others, participated in this incredible event.

Watch video of the parade!

Montpelier Chief of Police, Brian Peete, took the lead coordinating this event with CVHHH Personal Care Attendant, Community Health Worker, and Telehealth Technician, Alex Boguzewski (who also works as a volunteer fire fighter in East Montpelier). The two got talking one day at Tractor Supply, where Alex also works, and the idea was born. Chief Peete says: “People who go into [home] health and hospice work – all of you – have a deep, inherent need to help others. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be there. We want to be there to show you that we’re in the fight with you to bring hope, comfort, and help to everyone. We admire you. We are grateful for you. We honor your compassion.”

We are absolutely honored and humbled by this show of support from our community. It’s another example of how Central Vermonters come together and support one another. We are so lucky to be a part of this community!
