Meet CVHHH’s Town Meeting Day Supporters

We could not do our work without the support of our community. This includes the many Central Vermonters who vote YES every for our Town Meeting Day request. We connected with some of our supporters in advance of 2022’s Town Meeting Day. Here are their reasons for supporting CVHHH!

Ed Flanagan | Montpelier

Ed owns The Point radio station in Montpelier, where he lives with his wife and raised their three children. Ed is an active member of our Board of Directors and Finance Committee. “The cost of healthcare is not sustainable,” he says. “Anything we can do to help people heal better and keep the cost down is a home run.” Ed supports CVHHH because he believes that we deliver the kind of healthcare that people, and the system, need.

Brook Weston | Warren

Brook, who owns Mountainside Ski Service in Warren, has supported CVHHH since we cared for his partner, Kathleen, at the end of her life. Kathleen enrolled in CVHHH’s hospice program for only a short time, but it made all the difference in her and Brook’s life. When Kathleen needed care in the middle of the night, we were there. “Knowing there is someone who can come and be there is a huge support,” Brook says. “Ever since, I have been trying to pay it forward.”

Jill Donahue | Northfield

Jill started working at the Northfield Pharmacy with her father when she was 10. She eventually bought the business, which has been in operation for 70 years in the center of Northfield. “Ever since I’ve been in business,” she says, “we have provided medications for people in our community who are enrolled in hospice with CVHHH.” Jill admires the nurses who go into our clients’ homes to provide hospice care. “It takes a very special person to do what they do.”
