9/27/2024 UPDATE – The start date for CVHHH’s October trainings will be delayed by a couple of weeks. Interested volunteers should continue to submit applications and new training dates will be posted soon.

Volunteers make a difference in the lives of hospice patients and provide vital supports that allow people to continue to live at home. They support our hospice patients by offering the following supports and services:
- Sitting vigil
- Playing games, reading books, watching movies and TV, listening to music
- Providing weekly visits and caregiver respite
- Singing in the hospice choir
- Delivering durable medical equipment
- Running errands, providing light housework, and gardening
- Delivering weekly restaurant-prepared meals through Dinners with Love program
- Assisting with administrative tasks within hospice department
- Assisting Bereavement and Hospice Volunteer Coordinators
JOIN US at one of the following two training sessions coming up this October. Schedule and location for both sessions is as follows:
- Schedule: 9:00am to 4:00pm with breaks.
- Location: CVHHH headquarters (600 Granger Road in Berlin)
- Continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
- Trainings are free and open to the public.
- *Attendance at all sessions within weekend or weekday training block required.*
WEEKEND OCTOBER TRAINING meets September 28; October 5, 12, and 19.
WEEKDAY OCTOBER TRAINING #1 meets Tuesday, October 1 and Wednesday, October 2; Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9
WEEKDAY OCTOBER TRAINING #2 meets Thursday, October 24 and Friday, October 25; Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1.
