Sherry Camley, RN, Weekend Coordinator Nurse, has been named May’s Above & Beyond Award winner. CVHHH gives out the Award monthly to celebrate the outstanding work of one employee on behalf of CVHHH staff, the agency, or the central Vermont community. Sherry was nominated by four of her colleagues, one of whom said: “Sherry always goes above the requirements of her job to ensure that staff and clients are cared for!”
Sherry has worked as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), a Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN), and, for the past 25 years as a Registered Nurse. Sherry credits her mother, who also worked in healthcare, as her inspiration.
Sherry says that her ability to tackle the twists and turns of her workday with a logical, step-by-step approach is what helps make her successful. “I want to figure out the best way to get from point A to point B and how to put the pieces together. I am very methodical and organized, and I enjoy helping staff with problem solving.”
Sherry finds fulfillment in helping others: “I enjoy helping people tackle the everyday problems that they face and seeing the joy when they are able to make changes to their lifestyle in order to live their life to the fullest.” Sherry lives in Northfield and enjoys gardening, stacking firewood, and exploring the outdoors in the fall and winter.
