We are thrilled to share that we recently received a $15,000 donation from Lawson’s Finest Liquids, in Waitsfield.
Every two weeks, Lawson’s Finest founders Karen and Sean Lawson (pictured above) select one organization to receive guest donations through their charitable giving program. Lawson’s doesn’t pay its taproom and brewery staff tips. Instead, employees are paid a generous living wage, which includes healthcare and retirement.
For the first half of July, all guests to Lawson’s Taproom & Brewery in Waitsfield had the opportunity to donate to CVHHH in lieu of adding a tip to their bill. Donate, they did!
“In just two weeks, guests to Lawson’s beautiful taproom and brewery donated $15,000 to support CVHHH,” reports Kim Farnum, Director of Community Relations & Development, pictured above holding the check. “I admire Sean and Karen Lawson for incorporating a philanthropic business model at their company. We are grateful for their continued generosity and for every individual who contributed.”
