About the Position
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and organized individual to provide administrative support to our busy Human Resources department as a Human Resources Assistant. This is a part time 20-hour-a-week position based onsite in our Barre, Vermont office.


Who We Are
Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice is a full service, not-for-profit Visiting Nurse Association committed to providing high quality, medically necessary home health and hospice care to all central Vermonters, regardless of a person’s ability to pay. In addition, we promote the general welfare of all central Vermonters with health promotion, long term care, and maternal-and-child health services.

Your Day-to-Day – Human Resources Assistant

  • Create orientation schedule for different roles. This includes working with multiple calendars to book trainings and training rooms and facilitating orientation of new hires once they start.
  • Create personnel file for new employees.
  • Conduct background checks and process and file new hire paperwork.
  • Schedule HR related meetings, such as 30, 60, 90-day check in and exit interviews.
  • Schedule, report, and track staff training hours in the Relias training platform.
  • Support Clinical Managers to process timecards of traveling staff.
  • Track COVID vaccination status for all staff, travelers, and volunteers.

Requirements – Human Resources Assistant

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical/office environment. Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office
