CVHHH Introduces Updated Logo & Identity

If you regularly watch the WCAX morning or evening news, you may have caught our new commercial [watch it here], which began airing at the end of August. This is our first television ad, and a signal of our commitment to helping more central Vermonters understand the breadth and depth of health care services available at home. The 30-second spot, featuring Barre resident John Plante, is one of two commercials that will air on WCAX through the end of 2016 and which introduce an updated, more contemporary look and identity.

Our Marketing Manager, Emily McKenna, partnered with Burlington-based Brandthropology to produce the commercials and evolve the identity. “Our deep roots in the community and hundred-plus-year history of service to central Vermonters is a critical part of who we are,” says McKenna. “It’s why many individuals choose us for their care, and it’s a point of pride for our staff. The evolved identity acknowledges the importance of our history and reputation while showing our ability to continue to evolve and innovate in an increasingly complex health care environment.”

Matthew Dodds, founder of Brandthropology, adds: “The new design elements are intended to bring a more contemporary feel to CVHHH’s communications and provide a more consistent face and voice to the organization. The round form of the new logo and the arc design elements are intended to be more embracing and nurturing, suggesting the ‘circle of care’.”

A second, key component of the updated identity is a new tagline, “Your Home. Your Independence,” which speaks directly to the agency’s work in promoting independence—a deeply-held Vermont value. The new identity will gradually be introduced over next six months in print and electronic publications, including CVHHH’s website and Facebook page.
