Community Gathers for CVHHH’s Single-Largest Fundraiser, Seasons of Life

Copy of Copy of Copy of SOL 3 (1)Over 250 members of the central Vermont community will gather tomorrow night at National Life in Montpelier to celebrate Seasons of Life, Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice’s (CVHHH) 16th annual fashion show, live auction and dinner. Guests include donors, staff, members of the board and community, and Governor Peter Shumlin, who will gather for an evening of entertainment in support of CVHHH, which provides compassionate, comprehensive care in the home to central Vermonters. All proceeds from this sell-out event benefit CVHHH programs and services.

Attendees will notice something different this year – a new name and a fresh look. CVHHH President and CEO Sandy Rousse says: “I am excited about the introduction of Seasons of Life. This evolution reflects the true breadth and depth of services that CVHHH provides for central Vermonters of all ages, from moms and newborns, to healthy, active adults needing post-surgery rehabilitation, to families seeking hospice for a loved one.”

Ventriss DeweesLisa Ventriss, President of the Vermont Business Roundtable, will be the evening’s emcee. She is joined by guest auctioneer Rusty Dewees, who returns for a third year to auction off an assortment of experiences and packages generously donated by local businesses. Items up for grabs include a Stowe ski package, a week in Belize, a tea and coffee sampler from Vermont Artisan Coffee and Tea Company, three nights out to see local theater, and more. A highlight of the evening is the fashion show featuring couture donated by 22 local vendors modeled by 44 volunteers from the community aged 2 to 91. Dinner is catered by the New England Culinary Institute.
