Town Meeting Day 2018 | CVHHH Counts on Your Vote

As a not-for-profit VNA, CVHHH is guided by a mission, which is to provide home health, hospice, long-term, and maternal-child health care to every central Vermonter regardless of ability to pay. In practice, this means that we often care for people who do not have insurance or who cannot cover the full cost of their care. This adds up to quite a significant figure–about $550,000 every year–for which we are not reimbursed. To help make up for this difference, we rely on the generous support of our community through town funding, charitable giving and grants.

We use funds contributed throughout the year in so many ways, including to employ a dedicated staff of 250 individuals who drive over 745,000 every year to visit and to care for patients like Rachel, Barbara, and Del, pictured above. We also use the money to introduce innovative technologies to enhance patient care and to provide specialized training opportunities for clinicians and caregivers.

With the support of our community on Town Meeting Day and all year long, we are able to continue to provide care at home to everyone who needs it. As central Vermont’s partner in care, we can help individuals get back to their routines, stay connected to their communities, and maintain their health and independence.

Please vote in favor of funding for Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice on Town Meeting Day, Tuesday, March 6.

If you have any questions about how we use Town Funds at CVHHH, please contact Kim Farnum via email or at 224-2234.
