Dine Out Event Raises Over $3,500 for Central Vermonters - CVHHH
November 5, 2026 by Jenny Montagne

CVHHH partnered with several area restaurants for its first annual Dine Out to Make a Difference fundraising event on Thursday, October 22. The initiative raised more than $3,500 to support high-quality home health and hospice care for all Central Vermonters.

Four restaurants in CVHHH’s service area – Applebee’s in Berlin, the Blackback Pub in Waterbury, Sarducci’s Restaurant in Montpelier, and the Wayside Restaurant, Bakery & Creamery in Montpelier – participated in the inaugural fundraiser by donating a percentage of total food sales made on October 22. Community members were encouraged to dine in or take out from a participating restaurant to support CVHHH and their favorite local restaurant owners and restaurant workers.

“Dine Out to Make a Difference is a community fundraiser for and by Central Vermonters,” says Emily McKenna, CVHHH’s Chief Advancement Officer. “We wanted an event that would be fun and accessible for our donors and that shined a light on some of our favorite local restaurant owners and staff who keep us all well-fed! We are so grateful to our restaurant partners and to community members who came together to make the day a success. We will make this an annual event.”

The funds raised through Dine Out to Make a Difference make it possible for CVHHH to purchase equipment, train its staff, and keep home healthcare accessible to everyone in our community who needs it, regardless of their ability to pay or their insurance status.
