CVHHH Golf Tournament Raises Over $39,000 for Hospice Program

Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice (CVHHH) hosted the 29th annual Hospice Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, June 6, at the Country Club of Barre (CCB). The event brought together 104 players from 26 teams for a scramble across the 18-hole course.

“We could tell it was going to be a good day when we saw golfers hugging, shaking hands, and laughing at registration,” says CVHHH Chief Advancement Officer, Emily McKenna. “I know participants enjoy playing at the beautiful Country Club of Barre, but I believe that our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers come back year after year because they value the opportunity to connect with their friends, neighbors, and colleagues and support a cause that matters to them – hospice care and CVHHH. We are so lucky to have such a supportive and generous community and such a great group of people to spend the day with. Thank you!”

The tournament raised over $39,000 for CVHHH’s Hospice program. The event was made possible through the generosity of 54 community sponsors, including Tournament Sponsor, Maple Capital Management, Golf Cart Sponsor, Vermont Lazerwash, and Hospice Memorial Sponsor, Jeremy Drown, in memory of Barry Chouinard, as well as several long-time volunteers, and community members who supported CVHHH off the course through the accompanying silent auction.
