About the Position

We are seeking a people person with an interest in end-of-life care to oversee the recruitment, education, and scheduling of hospice volunteers as a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator. This is a 40-hour-a-week position that will provides support as needed with hospice quality initiatives.

Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice is a full service, not-for-profit Visiting Nurse Association committed to providing high quality, medically-necessary home health and hospice care to all central Vermonters, regardless of a person’s ability to pay. In addition, we promote the general welfare of all central Vermonters with health promotion, long term care, and maternal-and-child health services.

Your Day-to-Day – Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

  • Recruiting, coordinating, and executing a 6-week hospice volunteer training program
  • Managing all aspects of volunteer services for hospice patients
  • Supporting the hospice interdisciplinary team with a variety of administrative functions
  • Participating in hospice program quality initiatives

Requirements – Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

  • High School Diploma, preferred education in health services
  • Previous experience in management of or participation in volunteering programs desirable
  • Valid driver’s license
