Who We Are:

Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice (CVHHH) is a full service, not-for-profit Visiting Nurse Association committed to providing high quality, medically necessary home health and hospice care to all central Vermonters, regardless of a person’s ability to pay. In addition, we promote the general welfare of all central Vermonters with health promotion, long term care, and maternal-and-child health services.

Your Day-to-Day – In this role, you will:

  • Participate on the Senior Leadership team and collaborate with the CEO and leaders of finance, human resources, marketing & communications, and operations to plan and implement the annual budgets and the day-to-day operations.
  • Develop, implement, and integrate comprehensive quality improvement and risk management programs throughout home health programs, including analyzing and trending data.
  • Oversee, direct, and coordinate quality management and performance improvement efforts in conjunction with other senior leadership and management.
  • Set direction for the quality team, provide supervision, and ensure the team is motivated, engaged and supportive of clinical teams to promote and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Serve as a key advisor in collaboration with the COO for organization-wide decision making in matters pertaining to quality improvement, clinical excellence, and patient safety.
  • Oversee and direct the development and implementation of the clinical onboarding program.
  • Oversee the infection control program.
  • Maintain knowledge of HIPAA and supervise the HIPAA Privacy Officer.
  • Maintain & implement Compliance Program, including maintaining an in-house compliance helpline.
  • Hold significant knowledge of Home Health & Hospice regulations including Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and State Designation Rules. Is considered the in-house expert.
  • Oversee medical review & regulatory survey response.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired, required.
  • Healthcare experience required
  • Home health care experience preferred, but not required (note: if you do not have home health experience, you are interested in learning)
  • Five years’ experience leading quality programs and people, preferably in health care, required.
