We updated the format of our grief support groups. Starting in January, 2020, we will offer support groups in six-week blocks with a two-week break in between sessions.
With this new structure, we can offer a more focused approach to the grieving process and provide continuity from meeting to meeting. Attendance at all classes in a session is encouraged.
Support groups are led by Diana Moore, Bereavement Coordinator, and/or Larry Detweiler, Hospice Interfaith Chaplain. The groups focus on learning together about coping with grief through the receiving and offering of support and through sharing personal experiences. Diana and Larry provide a safe and supportive environment to explore the changes brought about by the death of a loved one. All information shared in the groups remains in the group setting.
Groups are still free and open to the public.
The first six-week session meets on Monday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at CVHHH’s main office, 600 Granger Road, in Berlin on the following dates:
- January 6
- January 13
- January 20
- January 27
- February 3
- February 10
