We are pleased to announce that Betsy Cody has been named Above & Beyond winner for August. CVHHH gives out the Award monthly to celebrate the outstanding work of one employee on behalf of CVHHH staff, the agency, or the central Vermont community.
Betsy was nominated by a number of her colleagues who had this to say about Betsy’s commitment and energy: “Betsy always helps out, no matter what. She gives it her all.” and “Is there anything Betsy doesn’t do gladly with a smile on her face?”
Betsy recently celebrated her five-year anniversary at CVHHH as CEO Sandy Rousse’s Executive Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining CVHHH, Betsy was the Chapter Coordinator for the Vermont Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, where she was worked for nine years.
An avid runner, Betsy revels in the varied nature of her work and loves that her job challenges her every day. “I thrive in an always-changing work environment,” she says. “My job here is demanding, and I like that. I find the culture here stimulating and satisfying.” Betsy finds great reward in doing her part to support Sandy and the Senior Management Team and the visiting clinicians. “It’s very rewarding to hear the feedback from my friends and neighbors about the work we’re doing. And, basically, I love helping people!”
Betsy lives in Barre Town with her husband Michael and sons Ethan and Connor.
